Springfield, Illinois, April 18, 2007 -- The
Illinois Association for Gifted Children is holding its ³Please, Donıt Leave
Our Children Behind² Day, April 18, 2007, in Springfield, Illinois. More
than three hundred children and adults, including parents and educators, are
scheduled to visit the state capital, see law-makng in action, meet their local
legislators, join together for a picnic lunch with other families of gifted
children from across the state, visit historic sites, tour the Lincoln Library,
and more!
The children will experience democracy in action, see how laws are made, and
meet their local representatives. State lawmakers will see that many of their
constituents are interested in educating gifted children.
