Advocacy

Day in Springfield, for parents and children.  Click on the link for more information on this year's field trip.

Gifted children have special needs, yet they are a group that it is easy to ignore.  GECO helps keep our community informed of efforts locally, in the State of Illinois and nationally to ensure our children receive an appropriate education.

From time to time it is useful to have concerned citizens take action, such as writing letters to legislators, attending meetings locally or in Springfield, meeting with legislators, making phone calls.  When the need arises, more details will be posted here.

Below please find the information to help you be an effective advocate for your child.
