GECO Kids Activities for 2007 - 2008

Argonne National Labs, Saturday, November 10, 2007, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m

Argonne’s Learning Labs program offers special demonstrations, hands-on lessons and other unique activities that give students an opportunity to see what scientists do at Argonne National Laboratory.  During the Spectrophotometry Lab, students will use equipment that scientists use to compare the relationship between color absorbed and color transmitted.  This lab will be followed by a Liquid Nitrogen/Superconductivity Demonstration.

This activity is for students in grades 4 through 8.  Students must be accompanied by a responsible adult; up to 4 students per adult.  We regret that younger siblings may not attend.  Registration in advance is required by Argonne and anyone aged 16 and over will require photo ID to have an admittance pass issued.  We will assemble at 12:45 p.m., as we will enter the site as one group.
